Our Story

Heritage, in every cup.

From Our Family's Hands To Your Cup

ITADI Coffee was born from a deep desire to keep tradition alive and celebrate renewal through coffee. Our story begins with our father — his passion to reconnect with Togo, his community, and the land of his heritage became the heart of ITADI.

Our Roots

Rooted in land and music, our origins are personal and powerful. The soil that gives us life is a gift we share. Our coffee is harvested by dedicated family farmers and cultivated with respect for tradition.

A Single Origin

A wild, indigenous robusta bean grows on one parcel deep in the mountains of Togo. Brought to the U.S. for the very first time, it is hand-selected and offered only in limited supply to protect its heritage.

Living Well, Together

For us, life — and coffee — is about celebration. Whether you brew it hot or cold, we believe a cup tastes best when it's rooted in meaning, family, and intention.

Rooted in Legacy

Having a connection to one's roots is not a story we all get to tell. ITADI was born out of a concerted focus to keep the past alive in the present, and to drive towards re-birth.

This story of regeneration starts with my father and his drive to reconnect to Togo, his community, and the traditions engrained in Togolese life. My father's connection to Togo is tied to two principal things: land and music — both of which became the essence of my own life and the ethos for ITADI.

The land we cultivate our coffee from was a gift, and now a gift we can share with our community. Our beans come from the hands of our farmers and are harvested the way they have been for generations. With this reverence for the land also comes a great responsibility.

The beauty and industriousness of Africa is so limitedly depicted; ITADI is a way to connect to these stories day after day. And lastly, music. My father bore witness to the world around him through his many travels and his ability to share Togolese music with the world.

Through this, my own passions were ignited. I firmly believe that the things we make with our hands — a song, a harvest, a cup of coffee — are how we heal and how we remember.

Life is for living, so let's live well.
