Our Story

Four generations rooted in Togo.

In the early 1900s, a man with no sons made a defiant choice — he fought tradition to leave his land to his daughter. That act of love and conviction set everything in motion.

Those parcels passed through generations, eventually finding their way to her son, Itadi K. Bonney — farmer, afro-funk musician, and the man behind this coffee. Deep in the mountains of Togo, on land his family has tended for over a century, grows a wild, indigenous robusta bean found nowhere else on earth.

Now, for the first time, it's here.

Every bag carries the soil, the story, and the spirit of a family that refused to let its legacy be lost. We're honored to share it with you.

The Ritual

Three steps to the perfect cup

Treat the beans gently and they'll reward you with a smooth, full-bodied brew.

01

Grind Fresh

Grind your whole beans right before brewing to lock in the aroma and preserve every note of dark chocolate and molasses.

02

Brew with Care

Use just-off-boil water and your favorite method — pour over, French press, or drip. Pull your water just before the boil — this robusta rewards the patience.

03

Savor Slow

There's no wrong way to enjoy it. Whether you take it black, sweetened, over ice, or with cream — the richness of this robusta carries through. Every sip, your way, is still a sip of Togo.
